So @pdxoliveoilguy.bsky.social ‘s grocery store Wellspent on Divison #PDX sells this birdseed for humans designed to jazz up rice and it’s A+.
I’m sure there’s a right way to do it, but just add it into the rice maker as if it was more rice and out comes purple with some actual vitamins in it.

This means that you can put chilli on birdseed to discourage the squirrels - which works for a bit, but sometimes they get a taste for it and become chilli-heads just like humans do.

For today’s #BirdOfTheDay alt theme, #Pigeons&Doves, I offer this encounter with a cleric feeding pigeons on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. He posed for the photo & was then interested to see how it came out. For us, interacting with the locals is one of the charms of travel.
