Yes, the birdseed side of the driveway is a mess and no, I don’t clear out the volunteer sunflowers until spring (if then) - because this way, I get goldfinches. See also: coneflowers and whatnot. Embrace the lazy! Skip the fall cleanup! Critters will thank you.
