It is genuinely bizarre that we’ve become acclimatized to right wingers throwing a tantrum every time a black person (particularly a black woman) is cast in something, but are also supposed to pretend that this is not racism but related to some other substantive concern.

So we’ve moved to the next stage. Either an incompetent Black person is to blame, or a white person who was made incompetent by the stress of working with a Black person.
