I haven't tried Django. Maybe I should try it in a VM.
I used Plone for a site some years ago, and it seemed reasonably good. I could use it again, with the ClassicUI/Blicca interface.
Anyone have opinions on Django vs Plone?

In the green world of Burwell Lode, among forests of Arrowhead (Sagittaria sagittifolia), lovely to come across the v silvery Silver Bream (Blicca bjoerkna), often staying low down, among the shoals of the predominant #fish, Common Roach (Rutilus rutilus) & European Bitterling (Rhodeus amarus).

Here's the Northern Pike (Esox lucius); Silver Bream (Blicca bjoerkna), unusually abundant in Burwell Lode & 2 less common #fish there: Common Dace (Leuciscus leuciscus) & Bleak (Alburnus alburnus). Also saw 2 huge Common Bream by factory as predicted by fisherman friend who grew up at Burwell. 6/25

Thrill 3: my 1st ever young Tench (Tinca tinca): distinctive little blunt-nosed #fish, black spot at tail base v unlike adult, sadly the only one of which I saw lay dead where vegetation had been cleared. Also quite a few Silver Bream (Blicca bjoerkna) & some Bleak (Alburnus alburnus) at surface.

The name came out of the Buschenschanksprint in May 2026, after a long list of candidates and plenty of argument. Blicca keeps the Zope community's habit of naming things after fish, which is the kind of tradition a project only keeps on purpose.

A client asks whether the blue could be slightly different. On a Plone Blicca site that has meant copying the theme, editing stylesheets, rebuilding, reloading. A developer's afternoon, for a colour.

Here, top, you see Silver Bream (Blicca bjoerkna) & below, I think a young Common Bream (Abramis brama), NB smaller eye, the only one I saw on the lower 3km of the Little Ouse, as well as the rather more common Bleak (Alburnus alburnus) to be found coursing the river surface. #rivers #teamfish 7/25

Another lovely fish, quite common in the River Little Ouse between Little Ouse village & Bank Farm, is the Silver Bream (Blicca bjoerkna). They like to mill in the safety of the bankside vegetation with the shoals of young Roach & Perch, distinguishable by their big, pale eyes & long anal fin. 6/25
