The chapter with Katje, Gottfried, Blicero, Enzian, Franz van der Groov's dodo genocide, roving all over the place but at the same time so many unities...it all flows, from character to character, back and forth in time. Pynchon writes *memory* amazingly well.

No, it's not just you. Something about the episode titles (seen also in 4.6 but not much earlier) and this feels like we are quickly flipping channels rather than organically flowing (like in the previous section where Geli sets out on her journey and it moves to Gottfried/Blicero in flashback)

Oh also, thanks for the reminder that Blicero’s real name is Weissman (ie “white man”) and that Blicero mythologically is associated with whiteness of bones and death. More on this later as we learn about plastics too.
