If anyone wants to read nonfiction about WWII instead of a novel, I highly recommend Bloodlands by Timothy Snyder.

As with The Winds of War, I read Bloodlands years ago and it’s next on my list to re-read.

There is a lot of historical harmonizing going on.

One of the points that Synder makes in BLOODLANDS is that disentangling whether a village was "officially" destroyed for being Jewish, Slavic, or for supporting partisan activity is often impossible.

I have great respect for "On Tyranny" and "Bloodlands", so I say this is the most deferential and non hostile manner possible: This man's thinking on Trump has been a little cooked as of late.
So thinking one step ahead. The purpose of the new war crimes is likely to induce Iran to carry out a terrorist attack inside the United States. (4/17)
