#Blue-Hydrogen
RIP Mark Rothko. You would have loved how the hydrogen peroxide bleach is only turning the Reflecting Pool blue around the perimeter

Mermaid Nebula, a stellar remnant where new stars are born! This two-sided supernova remnant, also called the Betta Fish Nebula, glows in blue (oxygen) & red (hydrogen).

This article also confirms my points from a couple years ago about blue hydrogen.

"Blue hydrogen will never be clean and attempts at carbon capture will always be expensive. Blue hydrogen was always just a ploy by the gas industry to find another use for natural gas (aka methane)..."

In 2021, I wrote how the economics of blue hydrogen would not work in an article titled, “The ‘Big Lie’ of Blue Hydrogen Starts With Ignoring Basic Economics.”  Blue hydrogen is the theoretical produc...

'Blue hydrogen' is hydrogen made from natural gas, the friendly-sounding name for methane—a highly potent greenhouse gas.

The fossil fuel industry hopes to inject it into the gas grid for heating homes.

But it’s as bad as coal for the climate, as @kevinclimate.bsky.social and I explained here.

A taxpayer-funded drive for ‘blue’ hydrogen is good news for fossil-fuel lobbyists, but bad news for the climate crisis, say climate academics Kevin Anderson and Simon Oldridge

What you’re seeing here are different chemical elements

Red = hydrogen.
Blue = oxygen.

The Flaming Star Nebula's vibrant red hues are due to the ionized hydrogen gas emitting light, while the blue areas result from light reflected by interstellar dust.

The Clamshell Nebula is 2,200 light-years from Earth. Its red clam-like shell is made of hydrogen, while the ionized oxygen at its core emits a blue glow.

Russell Vought's sadistic threat to kill projects in blue states will blow back on GOP. One getting defunded is reportedly a huge hydrogen project in the northwest that would also serve Montana. Its GOP governor has hailed it as a big job creator. Oops.

Things the Olympic-sized petri dish, sorry, the Reflecting Pool has:
- Algae
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Adhesives
- "American Flag Blue" paint fragments
- At least one dead duck

Things it does not have:
- "American Flag Blue" paint evenly coating the pool floor.
