I just got a letter from BlueCrossBlueShield, the ones who said last week that my coverage is denied. They want money for a penalty they want me to pay for the insurance that I will not be getting.

BlueCrossBlueShield won't pay for anesthesia for surgeries that go past a certain time limit, saddling the cost with the patient. Just another example of our system letting billionaires do whatever they want because people really believe trickle-down economics actually works🤦♂️

I am very disappointed in both #BlueCrossBlueShield and #UofMichigan and their inability to come to an agreement. I am sure the issue is some combo of both their faults and the patients are the ones suffering.

Slept about 90 minutes total last night. Wouldn’t be surprised if I start hallucinating today. I took melatonin and unisom last night but they are no match for the hot flashes I’m left with post-chemo. And #bluecrossblueshield doesn’t consider this a health issue. It’s a lifestyle choice.
