Title: Hands of the Beast Caption: an Ashe/f!Byleth assassination attempt fic 40k | rated M fic by Choco art by ashiribe and Viedai beta'ed by itsmoonpeaches Art: Top image: cropped preview of Ashe (post-timeskip appearance) staring at something with a shocked expression Bottom image: cropped black-and-white preview of Ashe holding something Fic snippet: "Ashe flexed his hand, as though clutching the shaft of an invisible weapon. “If he could no longer defend himself, would you wield Areadbhar in his place?” he asked Dedue. “Yes.” The weight of Failnaught was a memory that lay heavy in Ashe’s hand. Dense in a way that was different from silver or steel, with its Crest Stone gleaming like a darkened eye. He had held it only once, and briefly—for he was no fool. But perhaps the cost of being a fool was worth the life he could have saved. “Would you wield Areadbhar, even if it means turning into a monster?” he asked quietly."
