Yep, it's the Real Blur Busters. 👽
Will still post on the other networks, but will be expanding to Blue Sky and possibly others.

Happy 404 Day.

I just did the world's first HDR State-of-Web test.
This is not even on caniuse site!

Fantastic to see this stuff as we move closer and closer to the fabled 1000Hz refresh that BlurBusters spoke about all those years ago.
Thanks so much to @destiny.bsky.social for letting me borrow this INSANE 4K240/1080p480Hz OLED for #RetroTINK BFI testing! I've only run one test so far and it was nuts. Can't wait to deep-dive the @blurbusters.com CRT Beam Emulation!

DigitalFoundry x BlurBusters official collab?
I could be a guest appearance, maybe.

Proposed Title:

"Blur Busting Deathmatch: Framerate Based Blur Busting Versus Pulse Based Blur Busting Methods"
- BFI / CRT sim
- Hig fps CS2/Eternal/etc
- DLSS4 with 4x FG
- Lossless Scaling with 4x-8x FG

blurbusters in shambles, ha-ha. But seriously, reality doesn't have framerate and to better approximate reality we need to strive to increase framerate, not to declare completely arbitrary number as "pure and best" and avoid any progress from there.

#TestUFO comparison of my laptop’s #LCD and my #CRT monitor - the UFO is moving at 960 pixels per second, while my mouse is completely stationary in both images.

That BlurBusters + Timothy Lottes shader that simulates a CRT is a much better solution and introduces 0 imaging errors. This is what the in-between frames on Frame Gen looks like across a number of games John. I took most pics myself.

Also if we're making a screen explicitly to emulate CRTs then build the shader into the monitor (like a display mode) because getting the BlurBusters shader to work on a computer is a nightmare

I'm like 90% confident we're about to see displays change fundamentally

I fucking hate how settings are saved in different menus and it's hard to tell if it actually worked or not. If RA ends up the only frontend to support the BlurBusters CRT emulation I'm gonna blow a gasket.

The bar is indeed a VA artifact.

The scrollingness is intentional (LCD Saver). But it should have been invisible.

The bar should be calibrated out to invisible. It is a bit hard to do so on VA panels. But try the solutions here:

Blurbusters with a killer amazing update going into next week.

We are pixels away from CRT performance on 600hz+ OLED. It’s taken years. Love the work Mark and team put out. Send Blurbusters some love.

I had the opportunity to talk with the genius BlurBusters. Perhaps it's important to inform that, just like the Shadertoy demo, my implementation (as PostProcess shader) serves only as a Proof of Concept.

cap framerate in nvidia control panel, turn on low latency mode (but not extreme) and run adaptive sync

found these settings from the blurbusters guide and they work well

It's interesting to see how much we can reduce motion blur on our modern displays by simulating CRTs. Check the demonstration from @blurbusters under the Real-Time Versions section of this article (not on a mobile device though, it's likely to just flash violently) […]

And the version of Blurbusters they do have doesn't even work well

I get this weird color ghosting whenever I tested it on Sonic

If you play videogames Gsync Pulsar is very exciting technology

I know what it used to be like playing games on a CRT & the fidelity & clarity on modern LCD/OLED never matched it

Thanks to DF & blurbusters this will also support 48 fps movies with a firmware update
