On 7th March, we launched our first boat of 2024 & our 11th Serial Hybrid narrowboat to date: "Unexpected".

Unexpected is 56ft in length and is built on a Tim Tyler shell with a semi-cruiser stern style.

Hudson River from the state boat launch at Lake Luzerne. This 4 mile stretch is enclosed by Rockwell Falls in the northern end and Curtis Dam Falls downstream (there's a boom, but if you reach that you're in trouble). It was very quiet 50 years ago. Now it's a summer playground.

Another busy day at Ortomarine HQ!

On 11th March, we launched ‘Greengage’, a 46ft semi cruiser which is our 14th #serialhybrid 😍

We also relaunched Cafwin Cruises’ hire boat ‘Arthur Owl’ after some engine upgrades & a repaint over the winter months. 🥰

On 4th June at Droitwich Marina, we launched 61ft semi-cruiser “Bears Afloat” – our 12th #serialhybrid narrowboat.

The #stainedglass portholes were designed by new owner, Kate & installed inside Caldwells windows frames. How cool are they!

Ortomarine NB: Minerva was up for sale over the summer after the previous owners made the decision to move back overseas. ☀️

Our 13th #serialhybird #narrowboat “Amastra” is a 60ft semi-cruiser which we launched on 11th September.

Number 13 might be considered unlucky by some, however given the gorgeous weather on the day, we are taking it as a good sign! (At least we didn’t launch on Friday 13th!)
