I'd recommend getting the BodyKun models from SHFiguarts. They have good range of motion and have swappable hands!
Also, getting an anatomic hand model may also be helpful.

So apparently someone made a free set of CC0 poseable art reference models for blender (like body-kun and body-chan) and I couldn't not share because I was literally thinking about this the other week blendswap.com/blend/23521
Got myself a #bodykun to assist with my posing in my drawings due to being an #artist with #aphantasia. I always have to use reference for poses, as I don’t see pictures in my mind, and I’ve gotten tired of stealing from photographs. Look for a drawing with this pose and lighting coming soon.

I actually have a bodykun and chan currently and they've held up well over the years for their price. [Im currently trying to get another kun]. As long as you dont treat them very roughly they are decently sturdy. And yeah im trying to use 3d pose dolls a little less

I was lucky and was able to get it in Japan. Reputable stores like Mandarake ship internationally, won't be the cheapest price though.
