I appreciate that this bookstore-cum-bar is salty about the lousy design of New York's permanent outdoor dining plan

bookclubbar: The end of an era: we said goodbye to our roadway outdoor dining structure, which has served us well since July 2020!

This program was a lifeline for us during COVID, and remained a nice place for dozens and dozens of people daily to sip a drink and read a book on 3rd Street. Now, it will provide exactly one free parking spot. But don't worry, version 2.0 will be back in the spring!
