Speaking of random game concepts that need a spiritual successor. Guardian Legend was like, better Blaster Master. The topdown sections are much better, and instead of tank exploration its shmup hallways/bossfights, all with an action/rpg economy tacked on.

Same, i love undertale and deltarune but i tolerate the gameplay i dont find it that enjoyable. Some of the bossfights are kinda fun just because of how their gimmick mixes up the gameplay but i hate the random encounters

está muy desarrollado, pero las ideas que usa las ejecuta de forma clara y con originalidad en algunas bossfights, algo que me ha sorprendido. Gráficamente muy bien así que nada, dentro de poco pues tocará darle al Requiem

Frontiers is a bunch of boring combat and boring levels and bland bossfights with the best songs in the series. sonic sounds like fat deku and amy is a piece of cardboard. and the story is actually pretty good overall but it hurts that its all buried under. this.

if you chose to even Stand near certain men in the game, they'll gawk or they'll frighten you for a laugh. the game springs bossfights on you whenever it wants, no warning, so you get to internalize that at any time you could just be attacked if you engage with the wrong dude

After 9 hours of tedious sidequests, bossfights and a really stubborn bunny FInal Fantasy 9 is pretty much beat. Only a single super boss remains, who I will tackle some other time.
Time for bed and EF Grand Cross.

they showed off some of the bossfights in this for the new singleplayer mode, since the price isn't changing you're looking at what, 40 bucks US for the best-feeling, best-looking shooter on the market with four large maps, missions, and stuff to shoot even if you have no interest in pvp.
it's insane how many people will say "this was a really fun arcade game! shame it doesn't have a campaign mode with bossfights and cutscenes. i have no reason to keep playing after the first time! 3/5"

1 is kinda perfect to me. it has this excellent combination of good level design and good pacing, even with the corridor sections and bossfights included. they're all really tightly done. and i get basically the same feeling from 3

hate to say it but after a replay i think i love contra 3 A Lot more than hard corps and it breaks my heart because the latter is so fucking cool but good god do a lot of those stages and plethora of bossfights just not hold up on replays. it loses its luster quick

it's against other playable units, and they have all the skills and advantages that they'd have if they were on your team, so it's truly even (unless you skip to it like I did then it's ☠️)
