I think it had a lasting positive impact. It disproved decades of puritanical BS, and disproved incessant fear-mongering about how the City is crime-ridden and unwelcoming. Unlike Boston2024, it wasn’t a sinkhole of public investment. And why focus on $1.5M, not the $80M+ boost?
