The Boulton Paul Defiant was a quirky WWII fighter with its turret gunner, designed to take on bombers from behind. It was a surprise in the Battle of Britain, for both sides. #BoultonPaulDefiant #WWIIAviation #BattleOfBritain

The Boulton Paul Defiant was built around a powered dorsal turret with four .303 Browning machine guns and it famously had no fixed forward firing guns.
