I have just roasted some plums in gingerbread syrup, and some bramleys in lemon sugar. I will be combining them under a flaked almond crumble. There will also be some sort of main course first but pffft *dismissive gesture*

Status report, Home #Baking Division: ...So we have an apple tree out in the paddock next to the house. It's unusual in that (due to grafting) it's got two kinds of apples on it: Bramleys, and the now relatively rare dessert variety, "Beauty of Bath." (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beauty_...) (1/n)

I've already baked an apple pie with two Bramleys off a tree planted in March. Enjoy!

Today's National Pajama Day 🙂

The Bramleys are celebrating the occasion all day while playing a board game! #ItsPony #NationalPajamaDay #MyArt #Nickelodeon #Nicktoons

The apples this year are too sweet. Even the Bramleys lack bite. Feeling hurt, angry, betrayed by fruit

If "Beauty's" rare, it's because it's very noncommercial, due to not being a "keeping" apple... even with artificial assistance. It crops early, is lovely for about a week, and then it's done. ...Normally our tree's Beauty side doesn't crop all that well: the Bramleys usually predominate.. (2/n)

On the allotment today - tiny Bramleys (all ready for June Drop), tiny pears, and gooseberries. I’m always surprised by how early the latter start to ripen.

Yes Bramleys are very dry which means they’re great for baking because no soggy bottom. Granny smiths produce too much juice

This week’s challenging but hopefully achievable goal, Harry Masters’, Dabinett, some assorted rare old Gloucester varieties including Hen’s Turd, Shepperdine Silt and Hagloe Crab, and a few Bramleys for acidity. Just need a good weather day now… 🌱

If you want me to listen then talk about Bramleys

the actual best fruits are mangoes and physalis, closely followed by ripe strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, and after that William pears and limes.

the best fruits for every day are Pink Lady and Braeburn apples, Bramleys, and mottled yellow bananas.

the worst fruit is papaya.

Good morning ☕️ people

Sun is oot & so are the cats

Too many Bramleys so a wee box is going ootside for folk

We're chucking oor heritage away & its leading to disaster. We're the lands of invention, crafts & artisans yet we're being overwhelmed by plastic, tat, A1 & polyester

The apple fruitlets in Beau vista cider orchard are growing nicely in this warm late Spring weather. These are Bramleys a high acid apple which is a good source of malic acid if more is needed to get the pH down. A low pH is needed for a safe wild ferment. #cider #apples #orchard

Wow…just had an apple crumble made with our own Bramleys. It’s the first year we’ve had a crop and they’re gorgeous.
