Copy paste error from my notes in number 15, should've started with "Again, Hobb's masterful character work is the highlight. Althea & Brashen. Vevacia & Wintrow."

highlight. Althea & Brashen. Vevacia & Wintrow. Watching the tenderness and patience of the relationship between Amber & Paragon is really beautiful. Hobb is dealing with themes of mental illness clearly here...

It really rubbed me the wrong way that hobb only addressed her situation at the very end and so quickly too just so brashen and her could get a happily ever after orz
I wasn’t expecting a therapy talk from any of the characters but her trauma magically being taken by paragon was eh.
