Thrilled to participate in the Sant Jordi USA festival this year again! I'll be in two videos going live during the festival (April 23-26). In one session I read from my latest translation project, in another I interview the lovely Cristina Pinto-Bailey about hers. More details later.

I really enjoyed the unconventional format and the unflinchingly honest and moving narrative. This is a very smart novel by the brilliant Brazilian writer Joao Silverio Trevisan, expertly translated by Ben De Witte and Joao Nemi Neto. #Brazilianlit #literarytranslation

Just attended the most wonderful discussion hosted by
@PinT_Book_Club. Itamar Vieira Jr, author of Torto Arado (Crooked Plow) and translator Johnny Lorenz are brilliant, beautifully articulate, and generous. Great questions from the organizers and attendees too. #Brazilianlit #literarytranslation
