PLive- Deep Sea Diving - Prospects LiveProspects LiveCharles Trimble ### Keyner Martinez, RHP, SF Photo Credit: Shelly Valenzuela _22 yo, Triple-A, 4% rostered on Fantrax leagues when written up (06/05), currently rostered in 5% of Fantrax leagues_ _PL- career/year 93/95, PLive prospect ranking: 517 (+3)_ Martinez is a flamethrower and frequently hits 98 mph with his fastball. He also has a devastating slider and a developing changeup. The righty did a solid job of limiting free passes last season, but the walk rate ticked back up to 11.8% this year. He somewhat mitigated the lack of command by striking out 33.6% of opposing hitters. The 2023 IFA signing struggled to limit long balls and runs, resulting in an identical 4.61 ERA and xFIP. The arsenal is much better than his 2026 results, and it won't be surprising if the 22-year-old rights the ship at High-A next year. If things don't work out as a starter, then his two-plus pitches would thrive in the bullpen. ### Jacob Kisting, RHP, MIA _23 yo, Double-A, 0% rostered on Fantrax leagues when written up (06/05), currently rostered in 3% of Fantrax leagues_ _PL- career/year 87/86, PLive prospect ranking: 474 (+57)_ Kisting is easily the most discussed player on Deep Sea Diving, with this being his fourth time making the list. Unfortunately for you guys, the Jacob Kisting propaganda will continue until his 3% rostership improves. The right-hander was shipped from Tampa to Miami along with two other solid prospects for Liam Hicks, which felt like grand larceny by the Marlins. He's struck out 204 batters in 183.2 innings pitched over his career, playing for three different organizations over two years. The 2024 14th round pick has held opponents to a 2.55 ERA (2.95 FIP) and maintained 27.7% strikeout and 6.5% walk rates. He was amazing this season, posting a 1.72 ERA and walking only 5.7% of opposing batters. His 4-Seam fastball and sinker have added a tick or two this season, which isn't surprising considering his 6'5 frame and previously modest velocity (low-90s). Both grade out well on the TJStats model at 107 (4S) and 103 (SI). His changeup is more effective in practice than its 100 tjStuff+ grade would indicate, and the slider has taken a step forward as well. Everything in the arsenal got good results this season, and it may be due to his low, funky arm slot.
