"During the 1930s, the #CanadianUnionOfFascists (CUF) was founded. Based first in Winnipeg, then in Toronto, it was led by #ChuckCrate and modelled on #OswaldMosley's #BritishUnionOfFascists."

Headquarters for the #BritishUnionOfFascists were attacked by 300 #communist #antifascists on #ThisDayInHistory in 1933, who gleefully used iron bars to wreck the offices until police arrived to save them. The #fascists were subsequently asked to vacate the building by its owner.
