The east half of the map has a slope up the cliffside. It needs to cost fewer jumps to quickly traverse it.
The north west quadrant has the most trees and a rite location. There needs to be a good reason to fight there.

🧵Guitar stuff-Excess wall voltage.
1/So my BrownBox voltage limiter arrived today. As some may remember, recommended by amp tech to use with Sunn amp under repair. Was unaware of wall voltage's ability to effect sound and stability.

Guitar Stuff-wall voltage regulators.-
Sunn amp almost done but some components & amps designed for 110-117 wall voltage & modern running 120-125v, causing long term problems. Suggested Amprx BrownBox, which reads current wall V & can adjust to desired. Since most of my stuff is ancient, I ordered

1/Guitar stuff-interesting discovery.
As many know, I advocate outboard tube preamps to get harmonically rich overdrive through tube amps, at low vol. Has worked well. But found something with the BrownBox Voltage regulator. The BB has added tone to the Quad Reverb amp running at designed 117V.

Nice to see that my dear friend Syd Bolton wasn't even alive when #BlueSky came to existence, but somehow his legacy is already mentioned here.
Miss you pal, we all do.

🧵: Flamevale Prototyping
The V1 graybox.
1st layer gameplay: Hit foes into plentiful fire hazards.
2nd layer: Douse the fire in the river. The river wants to be very accessible.
3rd layer: Don't go over the waterfall.
Waterfall adds verticality to the level as well.

2/Working as a part of a mini stack or as an amp alone did better, but why not a combo alone? Well, have found a good sounding combination of the BrownBox limiting to 115 V & the Frenzel preamp on F channel. Really sweetens it up, rounding the sharp edges giving it warm character. Now usable.

2/So much so that turning up Channel vol and down the Master Vol, get the same rich overdrive that the outboards provide. Not the fine-tuned tone of the preamps, but with the 3 band EQ on the Quad, not really necessary.
Particularly rich overtones with the SG. The BrownBox really is worth it.

Prototype v2: Firewalls to convey outer bounds.
Split the river and add rocks to make it easier to cross.
Better defined the place and purpose of the different quadrants of the map.
It is proving to be the most ambitious and largest map.
Still needs more burning trees!
