We hold a variety of #Nelson documents born #otd 1758 #BurnhamThorpe but the strangest has to be 3 hairs found in a collection of papers and letters of #ElizabethFry

I was thinking elevated along parts of CPKC Galt (which allows for the quad tracking for GO Expansion) combined with use of the Queensway hydrocorridor (likely cut with limited cover) and maybe Hwy 427. Could then be elevated to Burnhamthorpe portal.
This thread of Q&A thinks through it.
I would use CPKC Galt to East Mall, then tunneled or elevated past Sherway before elevated (or cut and cover) along Queensway’s hydro corridor before popping back to CPKC Galt between Dixie and Stamford towards Dundas or Burnhamthorpe at Cawthra and then terminating at Square One.

And around Dixie, Burnhamthorpe, Cawthra, and Square One itself? Your plan does have it popping up above ground again. Has to exit somewhere.

Because there’s a lot of density and development around Square One/Mississauga City Centre and more concentration of development at nodes along Dundas and Burnhamthorpe. Makes as much sense as the Richmond Hill extension of Line 1 (which had the advantage of actually being centred around Bala Sub).

So i get on that trail under electric towers, til Burnhamthorpe.

Burnhamthorpe has world class seperate bike paths. I get to ride it for less than 2 minutes to get to another trail that follows Etobicoke creek to Eglinton. Beautiful stretch of pathway. Makes the ride worth it every day.

The 49 Bloor West would go a long block farther north to Burnhamthorpe.

I missed the consultation. Did they say anything about pedestrian crossings on Burnhamthorpe or Rathburn? That's really necessary to make a connected trail!
