Each 1Gbit plane has its own cache, so data will be silently corrupted if the source and destination are on different planes. Check out the latest in the Bus Pirate forum. Henry’s pull request is here: github.com/DangerousPro...

Latest 'test' build contains: auto frequency ranging, a PIO implementation of frequency measurement that should be uniformly accurate from 2Hz to 25Mhz, and PWM implemented in PIO instead of the RP2040 hardware modules. Testers are needed before we unleash these new features on the main branch:

There's a new git repo for tutorials, scripts, and other datasources that can be loaded to the Bus Pirate's internal flash. If you make anything fun, please consider making a push request to include it in the repo:

... it lists 7bit I2C addresses. This can be confusing because the I2C address needs to be entered as an 8bit byte on the command line. I added the original Bus Pirate search which displays 8bit addresses and labels them Read and Write. Latest firmware:

...latest auto build from the forum and let me know what you think.

I'll update the help and docs, and aim for a firmware release tomorrow.

When this first big milestone is out of the way it's time to see what it can do with some hardware hacking.

One really cool thing about the Bus Pirate is that it is built around the rPI Pico 2040 microcontroller, and having access to the PIO hardware really makes this kind of thing easier!

Code for this can be found at my fork of the official BP project here: github.com/mbrugman67/B...
