India dominated the list of the world's most polluted cities in 2024, with 11 of the top 20. Byrnihat led with an AQI of 128.2, marking "unhealthy" air for sensitive groups. Poor air quality remains a global health crisis.

You'd be surprised at how large the uncertainty is of world population data. We might end up with a Byrnihat population estimate between -500 million and +500 million this way

Byrnihat, smješten u istočnoj Indiji, zauzima prvo mjesto na listi najzagađenijih gradova. Za usporedbu, Beč, točnije uže gradsko jezgro, zauzima 3587. mjesto od ukupno 8954 analiziranih gradova.
