Afzer quite a long time, I have found time and motivation to install the retroFuzion Mechboard64 in my Ultimate 64 elite (without II). The CBMstuff keycaps were transplanted from the C64 keyboard, that was in there before.

My C64 Ultimate just got er, ultimat-er. Function keys replaced with grey ones from CBMSTUFF, looks identical to my original breadbin now.

The new keyboard is a proper mechanical one from CBMstuff, too. Much better than the original ones, at least technically. ;) Pricing seems very good indeed, especially if you look at the pricing for the individual parts that were already sold before (the Ultimate64 alone was about the same price).

Got my new keycaps for my Commodores from the CBMSTUFF Indiegogo campaign! One is a mixture of vintage gray Commodore 16 keycaps and the new ones and the other (on the VIC-20) is all new ones in transparent blue and red.

Thanks. It is an interesting project. The goal is to enable people to make their own keyboard without „the curse of the key caps“. No mechanical keyboard project has tackled this, yet. Maybe CBMstuff. But I think, the keycaps might not be commercially available.
