Not enough CCGs have Barbering as a keyword
Dominion absolutely created a sub-genre of deckbuilders (not CCGs); M:TG to a much greater extent created the CCGs.
I would probably add Settlers Of Catan to this list; this was a LOT of people's first experience with more complex board games and really created a much bigger market.

i am so opposed to the tcg sales model it's predatory legalized gambling. yea it's fun to open packs. i get it, it's really fun. but i also think the idea of spending hundreds on a card game deck is obscene. i also wish gamers wouldn't reward tcgs and ccgs by buying boosters.

i got really mad when i read a report that a certain game company's best selling line of all time is a collectible card game based on a famous movie franchise.
I'm sure the game itself is good. but i *despise* ccgs, honestly even more so than digital gacha because ccgs by definition create waste
