I can probably still give a lecture on CDOs and credit default swaps off the top of my head, it broke the entire concept of Finance for me and every time someone mentions packaging loans I start to sweat

We could call them, CDOs, Collateralized Datacenter Obligations, CDOs, I haven't heard that name for a long time. Probably nothing.

SRTs (Significant Risk Transfers) are going to be the AI bubble’s CDOs (Collateralised Debt Obligations).

CDOs were bunches of mortgage debt packaged up and sold to investors as AAA rated low risk low reward investments. But the banks bundled in debt that was WAY below AAA and so it was high risk

The 2008-9 crisist was built on elaborate financial instruments (CDOs) that basically put so many mortgages in a blender that it made the resulting slurry look like a safe investment, which it was until enough people stopped being able to make mortgage payments, at which point it collapsed utterly
