#CERION
I snagged this shell at the estate sale I went to last week. It was unlabeled - I’m pretty sure it’s a Cerion spp., but they’re endemic to the Caribbean and the distribution is hyperspecific, with many species found on only one or two islands.

Any Cerion experts that can tell me which one this is?

Cerion nanus
That's how we learned about Cerion nanus, the rarest snail in the world. That's a big claim for a little snail only about a centimeter long. Cerion is a common genus of air-breathing land snails in the West Indies and the Florida Keys.

Reeeeally rough environment concepts from Project Cerion (2015)

It's been so long I'm not 100% what we we're going for but it seems dark and gritty haha

#Smutcember here’s a saucy snippet from a WIP. Cerion, who’s from a very repressed secondary world, is remembering/fantasizing how he used to visit a notorious bathhouse to hook up with random men when he was around 30. CW for salty language and a teeny smidge of age gap fetishization & DS roleplay

Where is this Cerion nanus from?

These were concepts from 2015, for a game called Project Cerion.

These guys are called the Kirari, and are basically a Klingon/Krogan/Orc/Predator warrior society.

Having looked up Cerion, there's some overlap. Clausilid snails are widespread and diverse, often in temperate leaf litter or rock rubble & crevices. And they're normally left-coiled, sinistral. Cerion, like most gastropods, are dextral.
And a Happy New Year to all friends of snails!

yes.. Cerions , but where does Cerion nanus come from? Each Cerion species has a type locality... sometime 1 species is restricted to a very limited area..

Just found a typo in one of my WIPs that is a bit of a Freudian slip! “A few gentlemen were browsing. Like Cerion, they kept their scarves high, and did not remove their hates.“ 😆

these remind me of Cerion. Do they live similar lifestyles?

More from Project Cerion (2015)

These guys were cool. A race of intelligent advanced-tech Mantis/Ant-like beings. For the armor I heavily referenced Halo and Mass Effect (my two favorites xD)

What little I know without location that’s gonna be tough. We (GMNH) have a good Cerion collection from Keferl but 🤷🏼‍♂️

This is my design! In the past, grad student participants were tasked with designing the shirt during the week of the Seminar. It has a few "perspectives" of Gould from 3 eras of his life, and 3 of his favourite organisms: a Trilobite, a snail (Cerion), & a Brontosaurus 🦕

that's a good one. sad about Gould. and his Cerion notebooks are lost and the two people working with them have moved on. I liked those little snails.

#QueerWritersChat Q3 my WIP is about an unlikely throuple finding each other, and at the outset, they’re all anxious—Cerion is existing in an inimical environment, and Izatozz and Koosa are both afraid they might be falling in love... which both perceive to be disastrous, for different reasons.
#QueerWritersChat

Question Three:
Are any of your characters particularly anxious?

Next question at :35!

Esa no es manera de alimentarse, Cerion. Haré que te preparen algo. ¿Una sopa?
