Julia Curlee, a former CIA officer who worked under both Trump administrations, revealed during an interview with CNN's Dana Bash that she was fired by the Trump administration after being outed as transgender by right-wing influencer Laura Loomer. Curlee explained that her firing occurred shortly after Loomer publicly demanded her identity, which led to her being targeted. Despite being fired on a Saturday, she was asked to return to work on Monday, as the administration still needed her assistance with a critical budget item. Curlee described the situation as unexpected, noting that the new administration was still in the process of setting up and had two years of turnover to manage. She also recounted her role as a security advisor to Vice President Mike Pence and how Pence consoled her mother during her transition. Bash was surprised by the administration's request for her to return immediately after being fired, highlighting the unusual nature of the situation. The incident underscores the political tensions and personal challenges faced by individuals in high-profile roles within the Trump administration.
