I always find the first morning of a conference rather difficult. It takes a while to ramp up to proper conference Beth.
The dopamine and adrenaline hit from chairing a session at 12.15 should see me through the afternoon though!

I moved house recently and it was time for a good old weed, so I sent 26 boxes to Better World Books after meeting them at #cilipconf24. Boxes and courier collection are free with a minimum 6 boxes (1 box = ~1 linear metre).

Convinced by graphs of some countries, but not UK. Sharp increase over the last ~15 years. Fairly parallel to USA. Can't think what that correlates with

I'm keener on the idea of a "yes AI" tag rather than a "no AI" tag, but am very dubious about the companies involved paying any attention to either unless they are forced to do so by a big stick.

I interviewed with LIRG for this project and have some thoughts:
- Practitioner research is incredibly important alongside academic research as a contribution to our professional body of knowledge.
- Permission is often feasible if your manager also values theory and practice.

The LIRG project team did some interviews as well. Interesting findings from this that I want to look back on. One things is for managers to give themselves and their teams permission to do research. #CILIPconf24
