I have moved #ESIcon24 (Evidence Synthesis Institute Conference) and #TXLA24 (Texas Libraries Association conference) to current 2024 conferences on this list, as they're starting today/tomorrow!
With (wonderful) hashtags now being here on BlueSky, and seeing posts from #RLUK24 today, I had the idea that we ought to be keeping a record of live library conference posting. This is really important, and one of my biggest challenges. It’s one of the points I’ll be talking about in my #ESIcon24 research #UKSG2024 presentation next week.
Time is the biggest issue in LIS staff engaging in research. Yep, I do mine outside of my job, but people shouldn't have to do that.

It's finally here! The Evidence Synthesis Institute (ESI) Conference is this week online and at UMN in Minneapolis. Opening reception was last night. Programming started this AM with a keynote and now presentations on ES services. #ESICON24

When you’re working on a lightening talk that needs to be 3-5 minutes long, and realise you’ve spent half an hour working on your title slide… #ESIcon24 (Screenshots, alt text, and formatting do take time! And the info is mostly there as a background for saying hello)

I have discovered today at #ESIcon24 (once I got away from the hotel and onto university property) that Eduroam works here. I didn’t know it was an international thing. This is big news! Internet access for live posting tomorrow, here we come!
