#ElderChavezCarranza, a high school junior from #Alabama, was detained by ICE in December 2025. He came legally to the USA from Honduras when he was 14. Despite his legal status, Alabama police turned him over to ICE after a traffic stop, & he has been in detention for 6 months.

Agreed. While most of those children are incarcerated with their parents, or with one parent, at least, that doesn’t make it much better. Children shouldn’t be incarcerated at all, nor should people who have committed no crime punishable by imprisonment. 😢
