This morning, I was notified of another death in ICE custody. This is the 53th death on ICE’s watch during Trump’s second term.

We must continue to fight for accountability for everyone who has lost a loved one. And it’s time to end the use of all for-profit detention centers.

Project Relief, an immigrant rights advocacy group, shared the following:

“We are heartbroken to share that one of our community members was killed this morning during an encounter with ICE in Biddeford…This was a young person whose life was cut short…”
