#MinamataCOP6, held in Geneva from 3 to 7 November 2025, brought together more than 1,000 participants in person and nearly 4,000 online viewers. During the meeting, the Parties adopted 22 decisions to advance implementation of the Convention and strengthen cooperation to reduce mercury pollution, including an agreement to end the use of dental amalgam by 2034, a historic milestone for the protection of human health and the environment.

Je comprends que les Européens n'aient pas voulu, dans le contexte actuel de fragilisation du multilatéralisme, prendre le risque d'un échec. Mais le prix à payer est très lourd. Je pense qu'ils auraient dû claquer la porte, comme à la COP6 de La Haye en 2000.
