#COPFS
@PoliceScotland @COPFS @Daily_Record @heraldscotland @BBCScotlandNews @STVnews All of these took less time than #OperationBranchform. Any reason why vital police resources are being squandered ?

Seeing that COPFS are investigating The Daily Record for contempt of court regarding Operation Branchform their source within Scot Police and COPFS is now of limits.
They are limited to this from now on

15 things that took less time than Operation Branchform.
OF COURSE it's political. Police Scotland and the COPFS are complicit in keeping this minor investigation going till the 2026 Scottish election.
This is an affront to democracy that would shame a banana Republic.

It's political and COPFS have dug themselves a hole for themselves
Prosecute: 1,000+ SNP fundraiser donors will give evidence the monies donated were within the remit as far as they were concerned. On that the case collopses = COPFS in deep shit
No prosecution: COPFS in deep shit
Lose Lose for COPFS

Dear COPFS and @policescotland.bsky.social
Ditto.
Love,
Me.
Dear COPFS and @policescotland.bsky.social . 'The money I donated to the SNP as far as I am concerned was spent within remit that motivated me to make a donation' so could you please advise me and several thousand other SNP donors when you will be inviting us to testify in court please. Thank you.

The Nuremberg trials began 1946, to convict soldiers on worst war crimes in history, completed 3 years later, in 1949.

Operation Branchform, began 2021, to find missing £600,000 from SNP’s accounts. Four years on … nowhere!
@policescotland.bsky.social and COPFS are a laughing stock!
January 1, 2025 at 11:44 AM
anyway i thought the CIA paid Nicola Sturgeon to instruct the COPFS to arrest Alex Salmond on trumped-up chargers to undermine the independence movement, or did he have to abandon that when it became too ridiculous, even for him to claim that COPFS was under Sturgeon’s control?

Alternatively ‘Head of @COPFS complies to the letter with important Crown office Standards of Service for Victims & Witnesses policy document and Victims etc Act 2014 - by advising victim of crime of an important procedural step in the progress of the prosecution’.

John Logue is the Crown Agent in Scotland, principal legal advisor to the Lord Advocate on prosecution matters and CEO of COPFS. He was appointed by The Civil Service Commission, London in 2023.
His job is to keep Branchform going till the 2026 Scottish elections.

The cost to Police Scotland of Operation Branchform, the state persecution of Nicola Sturgeon in order to disrupt and damage the Scottish independence campaign, is now over £2.1M

This does not include COPFS and Court costs.

There must be an enquiry into why COPFS gave the bbc an interview on the reasons why no charges were preferred against Nicola Sturgeon

This was an act of Gross Misconduct, to discuss their decision on any innocent, private individual other than with the Courts, the individual, or their lawyer

I think the Bathgate born Aberdeen fan living in Bath (BABy) known for his potty-mouth is about to find out what the phrase ‘a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal’ means.
COPFS has final say in whether it is in the public interest to prosecute, or not.
Who’s funding his legal action?
October 5, 2026 at 3:50 PM
Knowing that, will the COPFS actually allow it to come to court knowing that the whole thing was a set up from the get go?
March 2, 2025 at 11:26 AM
Police Scotland, COPFS and UKG conspiring nicely together. Again.

If you drill into accounts hard enough you will find something.
Whatever happens Scottish Police and COPFS have damaged their credibility with the Scottish Public.

We have Police Scotland and COPFS for a reason, and that is to do their job !!

Criminal Proceedings MUST be instigated in relation to this matter

Operation Branchform:four years:£2.2 million police costs:£206,000 COPFS costs..."the Crown does not publicly share details of confidential cases where there are no proceedings in court "....in other words they had zilch on Nicola Sturgeon & Colin Beattie so dropped the investigation.

Statements have been submitted by donors to Police Scotland & COPFS,confirming that the purchase of the campaign vehicle, and related equipment, was entirely appropriate for the intended purposes of campaigning for Scottish independence, and that NO CRIME occurred

All donors should submit statements

Picture court scenario.
One after another - Hour after hour - Day after day - Week after week. Testifying under oath that very fact until prosecution concede the point & the case collapses
With questions asked as to why Scot Police and COPFS never asked them in the 1st place.

Scottish Police & COPFS be in no doubt the Donors voice will be heard
Expecting an easy hit, Unionist Party standard of corruption and finding nothing shook them. In a corner with no pot to piss in. They commenced a fishing expedition as they admitted that the enquiry had gone beyond original remit

In contrast to tabloid commentary, section 4 of Prosecution Code 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 on 'The public interest' sets out important factors that guide COPFS decisions on whether to prosecute or not. It includes impact on victims. A high prison population is only one factor among several.

Excellent thread for the layperson regarding bringing a prosecution to court.
Particularly pertinent with regard to the Scot Police and COPFS investigation into the SNP Finances
Another factor, SNP Donors are on record that they will give evidence that funds were spent within the remit they donated
I see that a collection of MPs have taken it upon themselves to “launch” a private prosecution, in relation to a case which is still awaiting a CPS charging decision.

What might be the problems with this? 🧵
