Early in 2020 I clearly recall telling my friends that I read somewhere that face masks didn't work, because they get wet from respiration and lose efficacy.

What happened?

I learned new information and I changed my behaviour.

A 2022 South Korean study found twice as many reported COVID-19 cases as expected (138 actual vs ~60 expected) following an outdoor university festival. The concert area had a capacity of 12,000. Actual infections may have been higher due to gaps in self-reporting via the university's app.

I could honestly scream. It's almost 2027, IPAC still uses droplet precautions for airborne illnesses like Covid, no one is masking in even the most obvious places like hospitals, public health has never even uttered the words Long Covid or ME, and all of the emphasis is still only on handwashing.
