After 2+ years of requesting the CDC to stop using their misleading "all shades of blue" COVlD map, they have switched to using an ethical and sensible color scheme.

In March, I applied for a 5-yr internal position to elevate the discussion of COVlD prevention, Long COVlD, & the challenges patients/families face dealing w/chronic & serious illness. Cover letter said "COVlD" 17 times. Happy to begin!

Normally, when the CDC makes a methodology change, they flag it prominently on each of their COVlD monitoring pages. This time, there was no alert and no explanation. Major changes were confined to COVlD, not Influenza A, and not RSV.

Treatments for Long COVlD are severely underdeveloped. If you have experienced cognitive problems (that you do or do not attribute to COVlD), the last thing you want is another SARS-CoV-2 infection. Wear a well-fitting N95 or elastomeric mask.
