A Democrat trifecta in 2028 doesn't really change the long-term calculus for Canada. We can't afford to trust the Americans the way we used to. Ever.
My hot take:

I think it's hard to know whether any US midterm result will have a significant short-term impact on Canada-US relations.

I don't think any result changes anything about the long-term questions for Canada.

Who cares about Russia’s perspective. I hope Burnham uses the same risk calculus as a drunken cavalry officer in 1853 ordering an uphill charge.
Imagine saying the reverse and thinking it makes any sense: “Having Russian planes on the UK’s border reduces the risk of war.”
Wes Streeting says having the British Army & RAF planes on Russias border reduces the risk of war.

Earlier I was playing an RPG Maker transformation porn game. I wonder if he would be more upset at that.

It includes TGTF and is therefore trans related, if that enters the calculus.

All of my mental agonizing and perseverating about political, moral, and ethical consistency, and all that calculus still boils down to this:

Republicans are irredeemable assholes.

Yeah, there's a lot of calculus being done around "how can we appease people who want a token marginalization while having the most heirarchy-conformant candidate possible."

The ‘what do you have to lose?’ calculus changes when you feel like you’re already behind.

Will be interesting to see how tonight plays out, but I won’t be surprised if there is significant “quiet defection” among R voters that didn’t show up in polls.

Human psychology is human psychology.
