Just waiting for ghouls with cameraphones to start posting clips from outpatient waiting rooms at filmed at 2 am to "Prove" that A&E departments are all empty and there are no ambulances outside and say stuff like "wake up, sheeple and do your own research. It is a scam"

Users who are blind or have low vision call (for free) and sighted volunteers help via their cameraphones with little daily tasks that are much harder without being able to see. I really love getting little hints of other people’s lives ❤️

It’s always funny when older generations call Millennials vain and narcissistic because we post selfies a lot. Like, buddy, we’re the first generation that grew up with cameraphones. Don’t act like you wouldn’t have constantly shared selfies too if you’d had access to cameraphones as a young adult.

The best advice I got from an old hand was to remember that regardless of "the glory" or lack thereof, it meant the world to the person we helped out.
By 2010, with cameraphones and apps, people were posting selfies with the person they just hoisted and a lot of that FOMO returned for the guys.

Fun fact, many long years ago just before opening my art gallery I asked @mcuban.bsky.social to participate in the first photography exhibition using cameraphones, and he kindly agreed and participated in the same way as all the other artists and friends I included.
And there are quite a few wealthy people at my level who are doing all they can to help others. We realize we are blessed, don’t take what we have for granted and don’t and haven’t exploited people. We were just the lucky ones.
