There is a canIUse equivalent for assistive technologies in creation: https://acd.lolaslab.co

Go support them if you can! https://opencollective.com/lolas-lab/projects/acd

I've been banging my head, trying to figure out why my iPhone's Safari isn't rendering. Turns Out(tm) that alpha() isn't supported on iOS 18's Safari.
It works on my Sequoia Mac because Safari is updated independent of the OS.
Golly, this is annoying. Back to color-mix(), I guess.

jxl isn't baseline yet, even if it is available for chrome, firefox and safari. i'd wait until most browsers listed on CanIUse support it.

the issue right now is that not too many browsers even support JXL, right now on caniuse it's at 16.95%, which is not nearly high enough to even consider using

Fix Cannot find module 'caniuse-lite/dist/unpacker/agents' Why npm install, npm ls and update-browserslist-db all report a healthy tree while the error stays, and the one reinstall that actually puts the missing files back. Topics: npm, browserslist, nextjs https://www.iloveblog…

Yesterday I did some long overdue updates to this project.

The caniuse and bcd datasets can now be updated by the app itself. The app also warns when the datasets are quite old.

Now also shows baseline status indicators.

Inspired by `caniuse` I renamed the namecheck project to `caniname`

caniname.netlify.app

Currently checks Netlify subdomain names and NPM package names. Any other checks to add?

JPEG XL milestone! The brand new #Chrome 155 adds support for #JXL. And #Firefox follows next week when releasing version 158.
Got the updated Chrome. Test it quickly at thorium.rocks/misc/jxl-tes....

One of the things I've found is that AI heavily indexes resources like caniuse and mdn. Then assumes that is all that is needed to use an aria pattern. aria-orientation is a big one that it assumes just works but has relatively limited screen reader support. Many popular libs hit this too like shad

great - only 2-3 years left until it starts approaching 95% tracked usage on caniuse (unless there’s a way to polyfill)

JPEG XL looks not to have good browser support yet, but it looks like AVIF became usable around 2023 caniuse.com?search=AVIF

These are some REALLY NEAT css features. I sure hope mobile safari supports these on the Duo

I just checked caniuse and Safari doesn't support viewport segments 🤨

They support the Visual Viewport API but not the media queries.
September 10, 2026 at 11:15 AM
Caniuse has been known to miss stuff especially if it's not in any release notes but I'm also surprised if they even parse the media queries beyond what an unknown media query does.

I definitely wouldn't expect anything until at least 27 but probably would wait till 27.1 or be iOS only or something

Just took a look at Baseline Overview 🚀

A minor thing that might be worth a note. Support data can look skewed because support is not confirmed - e.g. cursor shows limited support because you know fingers on mobile 😉

(limited is also shown on caniuse)

The feature I would like to propose has a specification (IETF RFC), but no test-suite yet and only partial coverage on MDN/CanIUse. Is it possible to test protocol headers (HTTP) at wpt.fyi?

Recently built a remote MCP with dynamic registration for oauth as the approach. Few days before shipping I noticed the new blessed Client ID Metadata Documents guidance. It generally looks better, but how have you seen folks approach understanding support in clients? Would love a caniuse for MCP
