#Candidate
Absolutely incredible that national political pundits cannot tell the difference between ‘candidate made Issue X the center of his campaign’ and ‘candidate was repeatedly attacked on Issue X and had to respond.’

This. And also: Stevens lost despite a massive cash advantage and key party endorsements because she is bad candidate: uninspiring, poor judgement and communication skills.
Primary voters picked the better candidate.
If El-Sayed loses on Tuesday, centrists will claim that a “moderate” like Stevens would have won. The difference will be that if Stevens had been nominated, progressives wouldn’t have become such sore losers that they became Republicans
Important that we are seeing center-left attempted sabotage of a progressive candidate in the general election out in the open NOW. Will be make it easier to call out the Bloomberg set in August 2028 when they are undermining the Dem nominee, which they will likely do to anyone left of Shapiro.

"Which is why I endorsed a candidate who explicitly opposes all of these values"

Tip: if Trump dislikes a candidate, vote for that person.

An election with one fascist candidate and one fascist-collaborating candidate on the ballot isn't democracy; it's fascism.

TODAY SORE LOSER HALEY STEVENS endorsed the Nazi MAGA Trump candidate Mike Rogers. She came within 1 percentage point of being the Democratic candidate for Senate. IT'S INSANE. YOU PEOPLE ARE FUCKING INSANE.

THANK GOODNESS THIS TRAITOR WILL NEVER BE A DEMOCRATIC SENATOR.

this is part of what makes these dark money groups so pernicious. pro-AI super PACs don't run ads that say "hey vote for candidate X because candidate Y opposes AI" they poll test and focus group whatever issue is weakest for the anti-AI candidate and run ads on that instead.
A Bellingcat analysis of video ads purchased by the two largest AI-backed Super PACS has revealed that their political advertisements rarely ever mention their stances on AI, despite the advertisements being paid for by issue-specific PACs. www.bellingcat.com/news/2026/11...
Inside the Secretive World of Campaign Ads Funded by AI Super PACs
Bellingcat analysed more than 300 online video ad campaigns promoting or opposing candidates for the upcoming US midterm elections.

Republicans are sending mailers falsely implying AOC has endorsed Danielle Ford, an independent candidate on the ballot for governor of Nevada. The Democratic candidate is named Aaron Ford. But surely that's just pure innocent happenstance, otherwise it would be a massive national scandal.

Great system we have in which Stevens, easily one of the strangest and most unhinged politicians in recent memory, was seen as the "safe" candidate, while El-Sayed, a normal family man who works out and speaks plainly, is still seen as the "risky" candidate.

Dr Amy Acton, a remarkable Ohioan and public servant. We are fortunate when people like her step up and run for office.
