Imagine the 1950s. Before anyone invented a seed oil, when carhops brought you a burger and fries, but the food was a third of the size we expect now. Anyway, nevermind, everything was great and no one was sad to die at 35 years old because that was the life expectancy.

Sadly, it isn't until all the way down to 6th place that we finally get a cover that's one of my favorites, volume 11, one that really shows off how much fun Toyotarou typically has with covers. And I'm a vegetarian!

Not quite the same thing, but when I was in high school we were into squirt guns for some reason. We used to tip the carhops at Sonic $1 to fill our squirt guns up. We never got refused, but that's because the carhops were cool.

There's a Sonic up Sudley Road from where I live, close to the I-66 interchange (there was a Burger King on the lot previously, but they moved across the street). I've never been there, though, but they still have the drive-in spots so I assume they have the modern equivalent of carhops.
