Fentanyl is used EXTENSIVELY in open heart surgery. Without it, complex cardiothoracic surgery cases would be much more difficult and outcomes would suffer greatly. Source: Me, 35 years of practice in cardiothoracic surgery.

UPDATE. Seen Hubby after his angiogram. Doc says he was very lucky to be lying on his table. He needs a quadruple bypass. The Cardiothoracic Surgeon will see him tomorrow and schedule the surgery.

Everything this physician says is 100% accurate. There was nothing visible that could be considered the mechanism of injury for the above

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. for the first time I can remember, there’s no supposedly obvious alternative path to reliable employment that our leaders can demand we pivot to.
