Vicente Carducho, Miraculous return of St John of Matha (Madrid 1634) It formed part of the series of twelve canvases on the lives of St Felix of Valois and St John of Matha, founders of the Order of the Holy Trinity for the Redemption of Captives. The artist painted this work in 1634 in Madrid.
