Grandma Reactions BSKY debut? For those that don’t know I’ve been this queen’s primary caregiver for the last 20 years. Wouldn’t change a thing.

Me, to my caregiver: I can't grab that thing from the other side of the bed, can you hand me Christina?

Caregiver: Christina?

Me: Yeah the little claw grabby thing

Caregiver: You name all your stuff?

Me: Nah. Just Christina.

Christina Reachy.

In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didn’t get to say goodbye.

It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.

On this Disability Day of Mourning, let’s honor Wael Tarabishi, a disabled man who died when ICE took his caregiver away.

Wael told them he would die without his father who was his “arms, legs & lungs”.

ICE took him anyways.

Wael died 3 months later:

And you also voted to demolish the healthcare system that would’ve paid for your caregiver…

Hi, former caregiver of a dementia patient. This is eerily familiar.
I can usually translate him, but either I’m losing my mind, or he is.

Everyone dealing with chronic illness should receive a living wage and a reliable caregiver.

Most of us are forced into legislative poverty, often relying on abusive or unsafe people to get basic needs met.

If we were provided the safety & security of a caregiver…. We could thrive.

“Caregiver” means a person who gives care.

Why doesn’t “caretaker” mean someone who takes care away?

Just give me one week with the English language and I will make shit right.

Officials said Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, died of natural causes. But Arakawa died first, leaving Hackman, 95 years old with advanced Alzheimer’s, alone in the house for days. She had been his sole caregiver.
