Good evening from East Tennessee. I finished phase 1 of my annual lumberjacking project. A nice elm tree off the backyard was crowded by cedars so I took down a couple dozen of them to give it a chance to thrive.

Chestnut Oaks, red maples , sourwood, tulip poplar, sycamore,white oak, red oak are the biggest deciduous trees. Evergreens are mostly pine, hemlock and eastern cedars.

Kept warm enough raking with a long sleeve shirt, a fleece jacket and my jean jacket. Cool on my legs though. Thought I was making progress with just the front of the house to do, then looked in the backyard where I already raked, to see all the oak leaves have now fallen.☹️ No rest for the wicked.
