It was cool, we used a high-throughput machine called "Operetta" to visualise cells & observe their reaction to drugs http://www.perkinelmer.com/pages/020/cellularimaging/products/operetta.xhtml

Purification yield from photoblueing preparation, but I was off by 10x: "Despite the average yield of the final purified product of PF555 of approximately 0.01%, photoblueing is a quick method to obtain a reasonable amount (approximately 10 pmol) for immediate use in cellularimaging."
