Rolled in the TV into class to watch Challenger. Rolled it back out and just continued with math class like it was a regular day. I have never watched a live manned launch since. #challengertrauma #artemis

#ChallengerTrauma is a thing. I mean, my whole generation watched seven people die on a blurry 19" prison TV bolted to a rickety metal cart with a room number in sharpie on the side. We watched them suddenly un-be and without a fucking word, they just sent us home for the day and nobody talked.

#ChallengerTrauma is a thing. I mean, my whole generation watched seven people die on a blurry 19" prison TV bolted to a rickety metal cart with a room number in sharpie on the side. We watched them suddenly un-be and without a fucking word, they just sent us home for the day and nobody talked.
All of Gen X at least likely suffers from Challenger Trauma. We watched that shit live while in school. #ChallengerTrauma

I was really glad to see #ChallengerTrauma trending.
I actually walked away a couple times and kept coming back for a peak. My girlfriend (who is 5 years younger than me) didn’t understand and asked “what’s wrong with you?” as she looked at me weird 😂😂😂😂
At least the internet understands 🫡

I'm not saying we had it easier than the public school kids or giving that hell on earth place (St. Thomas More, Kansas City, all the 🖕🏽) too much credit, but this is ONE time it was very good that we could be swept right into the church for a Mass for the souls of the astronauts. #ChallengerTrauma
