Courmayeur - Chamonix; Day 1. Weather is… damp 😂.
Heading clockwise first towards Refuge Elisabetta to meet up with the rest of the team; then back to Courmayeur & onwards to Refuge Bertone & eventually Champex Lac. Hopefully the weather improves!

Courmayeur - Chamonix; Day 1. Weather is… damp 😂.

Zugegeben, das Bild stammt nicht aus diesem Jahr. Aber es passt, denn aktuell kann man auf dem gefrorenen See von Champex-Lac (VS) wieder schlittschuhlaufen. (Achtung: noch ist nicht der ganze See freigegeben.)

Yeah, it’s hard to get into it between the Running Stones & lottery, but as I’m part of the local running club you can normally get a spot (as long as you meet the qualification criteria.
I did it in ‘23 and DNF’ed at Champex Lac due to stomach issues so determined to finish next time!

Le Chalet du Parc, au bord du plan d'eau de la Tête d'Or, a rouvert après 13 ans de décrépitude. Un petit air de lodge canadien ou de chalet suisse au bord du lac de Champex.
